She lived the bulk of her childhood in Falls Church. Early in her life as she began studying ballet at Washington School of Ballet, she began to develop a fascination for the arts and performing. Participating in numerous school productions, she had an early success with her dance career. In high school she took part in every show that the school put on and that is when she started acting instead of dancing. She also earned her Equity card in the summer stage performance of Aida. Following her graduation, she enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University where she studied drama but didn't complete her degree as, after 2 years she quit in order to pursue a professional career in acting. Louisa was raised in an extended family of four. Her mother Lida Jeanne Wright was American while her dad Robert 'Bob' Henry Krause was of half-Japanese descent. She has a younger brother named Nathaniel Krause who is a director for a film company. She spends a lot her moments with her family members, and going on vacations and barbecues. There is a deep emotional bond to her older brother and bought a house near to him so that they could see each other often. Louisa Krause Career At beginning of her professional life, she didn't act for money but to be seen by major film studios which proved to be a successful strategy. In a Dark Dark House, Les Liaisons Dangereuses and other off-Broadway shows were her first shows in which she was a part.
